Artist Statement
"Summer 18" A bit last minute, being tired of Barcelona too warm summer, I took a ticket back to Nantes in France. My mother lives in a remote place in the middle of fields and just 15 from the ocean. I spent a lot of time walking alone, through the quiet fields under the great sky that I always find so special there. When I was a child and teenager I felt a bit confine under this sky. I don’t feel that any more… Maybe because I had the chance to escape from this place. My models there, where my sisters and myself. I wanted to express the connection we have as sisters, no matters the age difference, we grew up together, under the same sky. And even if we live appart now, and have very different life style. I still feel a connection.
The two first images from this selection where taken in Barcelona before going to France. I asked my self a lot about relationship, and feelings during this summer. And I have been doing few photography project about those topics. Those thoughts about relationship has been on my mind all summer long, especially during my walks alone in the French countryside.
